Partial Fix: PS4 "Unable to claim a Milestone Award?"
UNABLE TO CLAIM REWARDS AFTER REACHING A MILESTONE ?
I've been experiencing the same "Milestones" glitch as a lot of you, but I found a solution that might work for some people.
First, some background:
I'm playing on a PS4 Pro.
A few days ago, my first locked achievement happened when I reached 400 Specialist Kills. Over the next few days I tried joining a different wireless network, doing several hard reboots where I unplugged the console, and even uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Nothing worked. That 400/400 Milestone wouldn't let me hit the "X" to receive the award.
I thought maybe if I keep playing and trigger a new milestone, or add a kill or two the Specialist 400, it wall all magically fix itself. I racked up a few specialist kills, then passed 3 Officer milestones with no luck; they were all locked out just like the original glictching "Specialist 400 Kills" milestone.
Then I went into the PS4 settings and did 2 things, after which my next milestone DID unlock, but the 4 old ones are still grayed out... so this is only a partial fix.
The Partial Fix:
1. I restored all the game licenses
Select (Settings) > [Account Management] > [Restore Licenses]
2. I optimized game performance by enabling boost mode
Go to [Settings] > [System] and select [Boost Mode]. Press X to turn boost mode On or Off
Of those 2 things, I think restoring the game license is what actually worked, but I did them both at the same time, so I'm listing them both here. Before any of you that are experiencing this glitch pass another milestone, try restoring the license and see if you can progress.
Obviously this is for Playstation People... Xbox and PC players might want to poke around in their systems and see if there's a similar option.
As for the older locked-up achievements, I guess we have to wait for Dice/EA to find a fix... But since this is a known issue to them since Nov 2017, customer satisfaction may not be as much of a priority as taking our money to the bank to them.
