PC - Fullscreen Problems (FPS issues, Graphical Issues, Brightness Issues)

I recently had a similar issue with BF1 several months ago when the Tsar DLC released. Now I am having the same issue again, only with more issues added on top of it. When trying to go Fullscreen the colors, graphics, and brightness are all messed up. Also, it refuses to stay at 59.94fps and constantly reverts back to 30fps. The only real solution, sort of, is putting the game on Windowed or Borderless. While this solution would have been okay with me, the game suffers constant stutters and micro freezes when trying to play with Windowed or Borderless (at least on campaign, haven't even bothered trying on multiplayer). Literally any solution that gives me a smooth gameplay experience, without sacrificing graphics and resolution, is an acceptable solution.

UPDATE: Selecting DX12 fixed the graphical issues, however, the Refresh Rate will not stay at 59.94 and constantly reverts back to 30.

UPDATE: DX12 seems to have fixed even the fullscreen issue? The GPU FPS goes above 30fps despite the options saying it's at 29.94.

UPDATE: Nevermind, FPS seems to be still stuck at 30fps.

UPDATE: No matter which option chosen with DX12, the fps will not go above 30. DX12 only somewhat fixed the graphical issues. Except this intensely bright bloom in cutscenes, and various lights in actual gameplay.

The game is also suffering from extraordinarily bright bloom in cutscenes. Example, I couldn't even see the Death Star explode in the sky, it was so bright. All Brightness options were adjusted, no difference.

UPDATE: Okay, so uninstalling and re-installing seems to have fixed the graphical issues completely (At least on Arcade Mode, didn't attempt campaign or multiplayer). However, the game continues to not run Fullscreen at 59.94hz. I have no idea why, it's just like my BF1 issue. However, the BF1 issue seemingly went away after some patches. Hopefully this will be fixed in patches at some point as well.

  • I saw a post in another forum where this 30 fps lock was tied to a bad install of Nvidia 388.31? Not sure if that helps, I know it's kinda vague lol

Tried re-installing the driver. No luck, unfortunately. Thank you for trying to help! I suppose I'll just have to wait and see if it ever gets fixed.
