PC Gaming Joystick support

Patch the game to allow pc users to use their joysticks.
this has been requested so many times allready.
it takes away the fun of the game to play with keys and mouse when having at my desk the rhino X55 system standing collecting dust :-(

  • Hey,

I mapped my joystick using Mad Catz software that came with my joystick.  It sometimes goes completely mad - but of you gyrate the joystick before every spawn you can dodge the issue.  If your joystick doesnt have key mapping software you can try the freeware joy2key

Hey, We found a solution to mapping any given joystick to the supported XBox controllers...

    Try this:

    1. Download x360ce 64bit https://www.x360ce.com/
    2. Place x360ce_x64.exe in C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront II (or wherever you battlefrontII exe is located)
    3. Run x360ce_x64.exe as admin, it will pop up "xinput1_3.dll not found" hit create button.
    4. Next it will find your controllers, just hit next for all of them.
    5. Under the game settings tab look for the "Xinput Files" section put a check mark in: 64-bit v1.3 and 64-bit v1.4, hit apply/sync settings, a warning pops up saying xinput files missing hit ok.
    6. Cycle through controller tabs till you find your joystick. Under the general tab you will see an xbox controller picture and a bunch of remapping drop downs, some filled out already. hit the clear button.
    7. On the xbox controller there are 2 sticks (left/right) you have to remap these to your joystick with the dropdowns.
    • left stick axis x is roll
    • left stick axis y is throttle
    • right stick axis x is yaw
    • right stick axis y is pitch
