(PC) How does one play Grievous?

I play a lot of Co-Op and I tend to do quite well, but out of every toon in the game I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing with GG. Maybe it's because the AI tend to huddle together and have aimbotting. But I just get melted when I try to play as him. I'm not really sure how to use his abilities correctly as someone people seem to be able to use them to dominate, espeically claw rush which I can't seem to get multiple hits with like many people say is possible.

Just wondering what I should be doing different with him compared to how I play any other character. Bare in mind I only have him at level 13 so I don't have all his Star Cards unlocked.

  • Don’t block blasters. Stamina against them is trash.

Avoid Unrelenting Advance (except if there’s a lot of infantry in front of you; still you’ll be vulnerable to attacks from behind).

While quite buggy, use Thrust Surge if you want to close the distance, then use Claw Rush immediately afterwards.

Try a higher sensitivity/DPI for Claw Rush. Haven’t tried it on mouse (only have on controller)

  • Grievous is pretty hard on coop because he can’t block a bunch of bots at the same time like the other saber heroes. If you want to take out a horde then you have to use his rush and thrust. Otherwise, he’s usually best at taking out enemies one at a time with saber strikes. If you do take on multiple enemies then it’s best to have a quick escape plan in mind. I found that a lot of times when I was in a sticky situation, using claw rush to knock down a couple enemies and then escape the area to heal up and get stamina helped me a lot. It also helps a lot to have Grievous’ star cards, so you might have to just grind a bit until you get those
