Phasma's Fourth "Retribution" Ability

Anakin has had his time, and the ST needs to shine now! More heroes need a fourth ability (all units, in my opinion, over time should get a fourth ability, but that can be another topic).

Ability Name: REVENGE!

Captain Phasma puts away her blaster and keeps her staff in both hands as she walks around impervious to weaker blaster fire.

While the ability is active:

  • Captain Phasma deflects all blaster fire and takes reduced damage from explosives
  • Press R2 to deal a heavy staff strike (old-school slow staff strikes that knock down every time).
  • Press L1 to deal a light staff strike (her regular L1 staff strike).
  • Hold L2 to aim Captain Phasmas pistol (supercharged officer pistol)

After the time is up, Phasma returns her staff and equips her blaster.

While Anakin simply needs to activate Retribution, Phasma will have a limited amount of time to utilize Revenge to finish the job. And before anyone complains about her droid... Just don't engage! I, personally, will hunt you down. Other players, though, will probably hide in their droid zone. Revenge, and her droid, are easily avoidable/combat-able. Even if Phasma has Survivor AND Revenge active, you simply need to stay out of range and wait for the abilities to go into cooldown.

Revenge would be great for storming hallways filled with enemies, or when showing down against a Jedi... or 3, in my usual case...

It's an ability you have to EARN, so it's meant to be epic and deadly.

  • Nitty Gritty Details:

    • Heavy and Light staff strikes are essentially the same exact animation/strike. Heavy strikes are slower, and always knockdown the opponent (except when blocked).
    • Heavy strikes cool down after each use
    • Heavy strikes will deal a small amount of damage, even when blocked.
    • Heavy strikes have a greater area of effect.
    • Light strikes have an increased cooldown rate during Revenge
    • Holding L2 will aim the side pistol, that does not have a scope (Chrome SE-44???)
    • You can easily interchange heavy and light strikes. This allows for non-spammy players to control when they want to use a heavy strike in between light strikes and visa versa.
    • Her armor would look amazing deflecting blaster fire!!!
    • Theoretically... A player would be able to open with a heavy strike, use all three light strikes, then another heavy strike.
    • Maybe instead of a Heavy staff strike, its a Staff Spin, where Phasma knocks down all nearby enemies. So then, Phasma can sneak in a staff spin at any time between staff strikes

Maybe even simpler... Old school staff strikes come out when Revenge is active! For a limited amount of time, all staff strikes knock down enemies.

While active, Phasma's armor is impervious to blaster fire, and she takes reduced damage from toxins and explosives. Just like Anakin is almost invincible but can still take enough damage to die during Retribution, Phasma will deflect all standard blaster fire, but still take damage from sentries, vehicles, lightsabers, melees, grenades, etc.

Her staff is equipped instead of her blaster, and is activated by R2 (like lightsaber combat). Staff Strikes combo increases from 3 to 5 strikes: strikes 1-3 remain exactly the same; strike 4 is just another standard strike; strike 5 is elaborate and hits 3 times, and knocks down opponents with each hit. Revenge has a time limit similar to Leias rapid fire ability.

Staff strikes cooldown is replaced with stamina, and phasma can "block" to reduce incoming melee/lightsaber damage with L2.
