I have a similar problem, except I am always forced into the South African ping site, whilst currently playing in Pennsylvania. No matter how many times I change it in the settings, it never works. The lag is unbearable, and rubber-banding makes it unplayable. Also, I get put into empty servers, which is always a plus.
