Same problem, same issue for me,
I 've been playing this game since 2017 without any problem.
Since 1 week, I have the same problem , I start the game from the icon on the Desktop or from the EA App.
EA app tries to start the game and then nothing happens, no message , nothing.
@Kirei-Zor-El sometimes new video drivers will take awhile for the game to load give it 5 to 8 minutes
