Just started playing about 5 hours ago and everything was fine. I was really surprised to see the game run so smoothly...being from EA and all. Then I started getting the same thing you guys are talking about. It started almost unnoticeable at first, little hiccup here, small freezeframe there. After another hour of game play it's utterly unplayable. I asked around in the match to see if anyone else was having the same issues...and of the ones that actually answered, they all reported the same graphics lag happening to them but their FPS was not affected.
This is the definition of a "Game Breaking Bug" but in this case...it's not a bug. I've never actually seen a case of poor optimization this severe, it's somewhat amusing for the first minute or so to see what it looks like when a game developer completely disregards the industry standards of digital optimization and pushes a game out the gate.
Very disappointed in DICE, and I'd be shaming EA as well but EA gets about 95% of their revenue from FIFA so it's not like they'd even bat an eye at a failure like this.
Edit: 30 minutes more in game play and a grenade detonated next to me in multiplayer, I leaped out of the way as it did and everything froze. I sat there looking at the screen thinking "Well this is just fine" and then I moved my mouse...and found that I could still look around just fine. It's quite the strange experience, everyone in game began complaining that the game was freezing up and I'm over here like "Wow! The game froze but I can still look around, explosions and blaster fire frozen in mid air"!
LOL, this is really bad.
