Re: Aerial has Bossk star card stuck on him

Thanks for the reply, I just tried all of these methods, and none of them fixed the issue. It's worth noting that Bossk's "Ultimate Predator" card is stuck on the class in arcade as well. I don't think it'll be able to get fixed in-game because there's no way to select it. Once I'm in the star card selection screen, the only ones that are there are the ones that are supposed to be: aerial cards. Also, this isn't the first installation of my game. My PC has been rebuilt recently and my libraries had to be reinstalled, so reinstalling won't fix it either.

    Sad to hear that those steps didn't work out, @TheDarkriderJoe !

    Most of the time, this bug is caused by a disconnect with your local storage and cloud storage. Solving this problem on consoles is often just cleaning these files. 

    But since the previous steps didn't work, I would still suggest removing Origin and SWBFII:

    1. De-install SWBFII
    2. Press the Windows-key and R.
    3. Type in %TEMP% and press enter.
    4. Now delete the Origin folder.
    5. Repeat step 2 in %AppData% and %LOCALAPPDATA%
    6. Open the folder where you have installed Origin. This is the default map: C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin
    7. Delete the Origin folder.
    8. Restart your PC.
    9. Download Origin and install it again.
    10. Install SWBFII

    Hopefully, doing this will solve the issue!

  • It's really going to hurt me to have to reinstall this game, but because you're spending time attempting to help me get this fixed, I'm all with you! Will update when reinstall is done.

    Well after the five hour install, Bossk's "Ultimate Predator" is still on the Aerial trooper class. I'm quite sure the cloud services has it saved on there, as its been there since launch even after having installed the game on what is now three separate systems. Any more suggestions, or maybe a link to some tech support for the game? Thanks for the help though!

    *Edit* I tried upgrading the card through Bossk's menu, and it carried through to the Aerial. I'm just so confused how a hero's star card on a trooper doesn't trigger any red flags on the servers. I guess they don't have a fail-safe in place to check for something as ridiculous as that.

    Hey @TheDarkriderJoe

    Since the Star Cards arrangement is not saved on our servers, it seems that it indeed might be a problem with the cloud saves... or rather with clearing them.

    Could you make sure that you turned off the cloud saves option in SWB2 properties on Origin?

    Completely remove "STAR WARS Battlefront II" folder from your documents, clear Origin cache one more time and then try to launch the game.

    We finally got it! Launched Battlefront and all temporary data was cleared with no shotty backup from the cloud services! All cards unequipped and I can finally enjoy my Aerial trooper class to its fullest potential on Geonosis!

    Shoutout to @DYSPROssium for also putting in and trying to help me get this sorted. Case closed!

    Is there a similar fix for this for xb1? I am facing the same issue but the bossk card is on the speeder. I tried deleting my local xbox save data but the card is still there

    I went into the last mission of light and dark side battle scenarios and unequipped all abilities from all heroes and villains. I am still facing the issue.

    Hello @sirsimon77 

    I've gathered some information here on EA Answers to find the answer to your problem. 

    This issue is very common and seems to be caused by a conflict between your console (or PC for that matter) and the servers.

    You can manage your data for individual games through My games & apps on your Home screen. Please follow these steps:

    1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide, and then select My games and apps.
    2. Highlight the game, press the Menu button on your controller, and then select Manage game.
    3. In the menu on the left of the screen, scroll down to Saved Data, then highlight the saved data for your gamertag on the right and press the A button on your controller.
    4. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion of this game save data:
      • Delete from console removes the local copy of this save. You can get it from the cloud the next time you play. I would suggest trying this one first
      • Delete everywhere removes your saved data from this console, the cloud, and all other consoles you play on. If the previous didn't work try this.

    This will not erase your online progression (star cards, emotes, skins), but will erase personal settings (controls/video settings) and erase single player campaign progress.

    Please, if this worked, be sure to let me know and also which option (delete from console or delete everywhere) did work for you! That would be greatly appreciated :D

  • @sirsimon77 that's a shame, just to be safe I'd recommend clearing all star cards in arcade otherwise the only other solution is as per @DYSPROssium post, to delete locally saved data, which means you will lose all your progress that's in locally saved data(campaign and arcade progress)

    I already tried delete from console, that did not resolve the issue. I'll see about trying the delete from everywhere
