I don't think I do.
It only happens every so often, but when it does, there's nothing you can do. Either carry on and see how long you can last, or re-spawn and lose your hero or villain. When this does happen it can be frustrating, especially if your on a high kill-streak.
I'm trying to think of what I was doing at the time...
Basically just playing the game, walking, running, jumping, swinging lightsaber, dash attacks, special abilities etc.
The last time it happened with Yoda, I was playing on Heroes vs Villains. The map was "Felucia" and I was in the field of red flowers. So maybe it happens at specific environmental locations.
Another possibility could be that maybe I was holding down the jump button too long...
If it happens again, I will try and get footage of this.
