Smaller studios and publishers have been that before, so why not you and in short term?
Community have been growing last days and since Christmas so... Now is the perfect time to continue with Star Wars universe while fans wait for the upcoming series.
I want to start by saying my friends and I have not ran into a single hacker on PC.
I play on PC with my brother and a friend we're all fathers and would love to play with our sons who play on PS4. We all love the game and wish we had found it sooner. EA could definitely fund this project & provide support for this game again.
Battlefront II just came out in 2017, this isn't a sports game. EA just added crossplay to NFS Heat(Released 2019) in June of 2020, just 6 months ago. I do not think it is unreasonable to add crossplay to Battlefront II. I feel their greed with the p2w model on a $60 game really hindered the success this game deserved crossplay would speak volumes to community and the Star Wars brand as a whole.
As a compromise if they announce Battlefront III with cross-platform support I could forget this whole thing.
