@EA_Barryto which I must say that I have only had said computer (and therefore drive) for a few months. I do not believe that there is a life issue. However, I would like to bring your attention to the error that appears. Anything you can tell me about that?

Unfortunately, hard drives can fail at almost any time.
Please do post the exact error you are seeing as that will help us troubleshoot, thanks.
I would also like to ask about the possibility of a smooth game, without turning down the resolution so much I cannot see what is on the screen.

I have gone and updated my driver to "BIOS 1.0.9"
Is this modern enough?

Sorry, slight miscommunication there. Your issue is with your video drivers, not your hard drive.
Assuming you have an NVIDIA video card, it is possible your machine may be defaulting to the video processing on your CPU rather than your nvidia GPU.
- Open the nvidia Control Panel
- Click Manage 3D settings
- Click the Program Settings tab
- Click the Add button
- Select the game from the list or click browse and navigate to C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\STAR WARS Battlefront II\starwarsbattlefrontii.exe
- Select starwarsbattlefrontii.exe and then Open
- Customise individual settings if you like
- Exit nvidia control panel and try playing.
Let us know if you have an AMD video card and if the above steps do not help, please post your Dxiag report here, thanks.

I tried this and was told that I am not currently using a display hooked up to NVIDIA. I followed a youtube tutorial on how to do this to no avail. This resulted in worse performance than before. However, I managed to compromise and figure out settings that are bearable.

Check that your display is connected to your video card and not the video output on your motherboard!
🙂
I did so and then followed the instructions above, however, 1.) The game was not in the Origin Games folder, rather it was on its own in Program Files x86, 2.) The game has to be downloaded again, 3.) The game is its own hard drive file. It is in drive D/:, rather than drive C/: as it cannot fit in the former GB wise. Are any of these red flags?
Also, I"m a little confused at this point as I have downloaded the game twice. Once outside of the Origin Games folder and once inside it.
Update: All is now working flawlessly. Thank you for the help!
