no one talks about The Twilight anymore it’s a really cool ship...
I want actually interact-able ships and vehicles. This would work well for like a battle of Christophis. This way, no one is forced to play as ships if they don’t want to. Although, there is the slight conundrum of strafing. On huge and open maps that would not really be good but on maps with tons of cover it would be good. I want to see battles like we see in the clone wars, where it’s troops shooting at each other and trying to advance/push the other side back. To solve the problem of strafing, players could jump in their own ships or man cannons, stationed on capital ships or the main fight. What I’m saying is that we need a better Capital Supremacy, with the option to board ships (no cutscene) and the troops on the defending ship have to try and shoot down the boarding fighters. If at least one gunship makes it, then the battle is less focused on the ground. Of course you can still stay on the ground if you want to, which will be helpful for machinimas or whatever. AND, there is also starfighters fighting, and can help destroy capital ship’s subsystems, which, in turn, will give the advantage to the attackers for a short time. This would not only add more variety, but it would also add more tension and excitement. Oh, and if you try and fly a gunship yourself and you have no passengers AND you make it in the other ship, you are not allowed to access the critical systems and destroy it yourself. This is to ensure no one person sneaks in and blows it up by themself. The minimum forces required to access these critical areas are 10 troops.
