Re: can't turn around in game

@EA_Atic

Troubleshooting for a friend who has this very exact issue. Disabling the Origin overlay in game settings fixed it so that she can turn around fully, but now she can't accept group invitations.

Friends username: Sithlojs

In short:
- We have concluded that the problem is the Origin overlay (by process of elimination - discord did not affect this at all).

- User is unable to play with friends.

- User bought game for the sole purpose of playing with friends.

Kindly provide guidance in fixing this issue, as the game is pretty much worthless for her at this point (as well as the rest of the group of friends who intend to play together).

Yes, that was part of the troubleshooting process. Origin launcher was (in order):
    - Updated

    - Repaired

    - Unistalled and reinstalled

    Also:
    - Video drivers updated

    - DX updated

    - Windows updated

    - Game repaired

    - Game uninstall/reinstall

    - With/without the following programs running in every combination systematically: discord, steam,  google chrome, epic games launcher

Neither of these steps worked. It is also worth mentioning that the game worked fin on her machine a couple of months ago. There has been no changes in hardware except for a switch to wireless headphones, but if that would be a factor it would be pure witchcraft.

    NOTE:

We did find a workaround of sorts. If invited to join a group while the game is not running, the game launched with her as a group member. This worked fine until the group was disbanded (suspected connection issues) and she had to restart her game using a group invite.

I suggest spreading this as a possible (and most of all temporary) solution until EA manages to remedy the core issue of the Origin Overlay making some of their games unplayable.

    Thanks for the details! @JTyrling

For the Uninstall and reinstall of Origin, the hard way does a few more steps then a normal uninstall in Windows that could be cause.

I have to say I have seen some witchcraft with troubleshooting over the years but not headphones with Battlefront 2. :D

Do you have any other overlays running in the background at the same time?
