I've downloaded and installed the ~1.5gb patch today and it has made no difference. I still get disconnected roughly every 5 to 10 mins of play. The only difference is that it now shows error code 201.

A couple of things to add:
When trying to play GA, after a fairly substantial load time, I am often added to an empty server. I then typically see over the course of one or two minutes, a handful of player who join, but never enough to start a game. Very strange!
Secondly, I've noticed that I always seem to be able to play the first half of a GA game without issue. If I stay for the second round, the game will freeze every time after anywhere between 2 and 5 minutes from the beginning of the second round with error 201 - lost connection to EA servers.
- I'm having this issue as well and EA support has been absolutely no help. I had the transcript emailed to me, of the support employee continuously asking me to check if my ports were open. I had my ISP on the phone while talking to the support worker and he insisted that it was an issue on my side, since "so many people are enjoying the game at this time and nobody is experiencing this issue". Annoying how I'm given the run around and blamed for their horrible servers. I hope more people who may be experiencing this issue say something because as of now they are pretending there is no issue.
