Thanks. Can you try a cache clear then do another update check. 

Do do this close the game, then restart by holding the front button on the front of your system until it beeps and shuts down. Then when you start again, can you check for an update again?

there was no UPDATES in my updates area under Games &Apps

my system has been rebooted 3 times, cache has been cleared 3 times too.

I think there may be a misunderstanding there. The 40 points you mention are likely crafting parts, and can't be used until a future update. 

As for the star cards, they won't appear maxed in your collection, but when you play Arcade you should have all purple cards. 

As for the shutdowns, some troubleshooting around heating/airflow is probably the best way to go.

I have also been experiencing "Error Code 1,608" ever since the update went live today. Please look into this issue and inform the player community once the said issue has been resolved.

Has any progress been made on this since I last posted my message? 

I am still encountering "Error code 1608," and it is driving me insane.

I play the game on PC. Any advice that you can provide will be greatly appreciated.

For quite a while I've been getting the same error when trying to upgrade Kylo Ren's Closing In star card. I'm on PC
