Ok thanks I may give that a try but it's such a big game that it would suck for people with limited internet to have to do that; it's not really a very workable solution..

EA pls fix.

    Well.... Agreed. We shouldn't have to be doing anything to make it work... They should fix it and actively keep it fixed. I have a very good connection, but the game still only downloads at like 2-3 mbps. So when I've done it, I just do it overnight and into the next morning when I wouldn't be playing anyway. It can take upwards of 13 hrs for me. No doubt a PITA.... But I was willing to mess with it to get some relief from the problems, as ridiculous as that thought is.
