I woke up this morning looking forward to patch 1.2. Downloaded the update only to not have the game launch and give me a message telling me to update my up-to-date drivers. After trying several of the troubleshooting suggestions in this topic and others, I still can not play the game. Even knowing that is hot fix is in the works would be appreciated.
Geeze, I thought I had it bad. I got 5 crashes last night in 4 hours. Today, after the patch, 3 in 45 minutes! Can't finish 1 match without crashing. It's pretty fun and exciting. I feel for you all. I had this problem, after installing patch 1.2 as well. Reading on here I tried the fixes, but to no avail. I have my main logon with admin rights, and one other account. So I went ant removed the hidden folder Origin on both accounts, and both star wars bf2 folders in my documents, and bam I was back in business. HOPE this help people out. 🙂
Mind elaborating on what the "hidden folder Origin" is and where to find it?
Wonder if we are going to miss any of the timed challenges that unlocks Hero Skins because of this!!

I've had zero issues with the game playing everyday since launch. But now after updating to 1.2 the game won't start. I can see the bf2 process start and then crash after about 10-15 seconds. No game window is ever visible, I'm just returned to the origin client without any error message.
- I've reinstalled my graphics driver (GTX 1080 ti).
- Reinstalled both the origin client and the game itself.
- Tried removed various "origin" and "bf2" folders both in %appdata% and %programdata%.
- Disabled "origin in game".
- Tried running both the game and origin in "as admin".
I've attached my DxDiag.,txt.
Got through to an advisor in chat!!
