I dont know what the problem is, but I've restared the game a few times, played a quick round and have not had any more trouble since the re-install. I had the same exact problem as the rest of you, with the half-white screen for a few seconds and the courser on a black background.

Can confirm that reinstalling works, had the same problem.
Too bad that I spent over an hour updating windows, installing new drivers, installing media pack etc before trying to reinstall the game. I only tried repairing it a couple of times wich did nothing.

Hello everyone!
instead of re-installing the game try removing the starwarsbattlefrontii.exe file and starwarsbattlefrontii_trial.exe from the installation location and the do a repair on battlefront 2 from Origin. This solved it for me.
Edit: credit goes to @EA_David 🙂

Here is my dxdiag.

Edit: didn't work for me. Trying again!
didnt work for me either
Well I'm so happy I wasted 3 hours yesterday and had the help chat tell me that the problem was because of my GPU and that I should buy a new one to be able to play. (worked fine - in ultra - before the patch)
Should have kept the chatlog. Great help and service thanks EA (heavy sarcasm)
Deleted the 2 files, works perfectly now BTW
its making my download and theres no repair button???
