Re: How would i change the language on Battlefront 2?

It says clearly it's available in English, French, Spanish, Italian, German, etc. I don't remember the exact posts but I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it (with the language set to English of course) I also tried changing some sort of file that I tried to find and never worked, I also restarted my pc and then redownloaded it and it didn't work, and lastly I tried setting a VPN to my own location and installing it but that didn't work either. and it was EA that couldn't help me.

I can understand why you posted that screenshot. However, it's not the one I'm looking for. The screenshot you posted shows that it is possible to buy the game in different languages. I'm looking for the screen shot that shows which version you bought that says it includes English. It is possible you bought a version that does not support English. However, I can't say for sure, until I see it.

@ThyNuggett Main question would be, how did you got the Russian Store exclusive version?

There's no way to get it while living and login from the USA

If you got it while "visiting" Russia or a code from elsewhere, you're stuck with this version and need to re-purchase in the american store if you want other languages

This is a mechanism used by several companies to avoid people jumping around to abuse the regional pricing
  • Yeah i just bought it off of Steam and last time i checked Steam is pretty trusted with those kind of things

@ThyNuggettOn Steam, upper right corner, click on your user name, then Account details

On that screen click on "View licenses and product key activations", also on "view purchase history"

That shows how you got the game, on which store and which currency was used for the product

On "view purchase history" you can click on the product to get help

There's no reason for you to have the Russian Store exclusive version unless you specifically got it there (or a code from there), but if you have it and you didn't purchase it there, you have to contact Steam since that's an issue on their store, not on EA or Origin

If you mistakenly got it while using a VPN, the only way to go is to refund it, there's no way to change store versions

  • I am also a bit confused as to which screenshot you would need, I have the receipt of the purchase if u want that? i'll obviously remove the confidential information.

@ThyNuggett if it was a direct purchase on Steam, you have to contact them through the menu I mentioned

There's no way that menu is directing you to EA/Origin, that's not how it works for purchases done on Steam, nor an option

Are you sure you're using the menu I told you to check?

There's no way for EA or Origin to change the region of your purchase through Steam

You should be seeing this screen when looking for support about your purchase (this is an Origin game bought on Steam)

@ThyNuggett My best recommendation is, refund it and get it on the correct store, be sure to have any VPN or similar off when doing it

There's no other way to revert purchases mistakenly done from an incorrect IP, nor to change the region of them once done

Even if you use an american CC, if the purchase goes through the incorrect storefront, you get the exclusive version of that region, and those are usually language-locked to avoid abuse

You'll likely only get help there and not here, since this is a Steam store sale issue, not Origin
