Still happening as of today, guess they just don't care to fix it, or they consider it to be a non-issue since we can just reselect the cards...

- I'm still getting it occasionally as well.
It has happened to me very frequently lately. It seemed fixed before, and more then once too. In my experience, this is a BUG which seems to disappear but resurfaces later time and time again. Or it's so random, it makes me feel that. Or even it has a sneaky trigger, or a multitude of difficult to find triggers to it.
Anyway, it always behave by deselecting ALL of Luke's cards. I never experienced he having only one or 2 cards deselected, its always all 3.

Yes, I thought it was fixed as well, but then I experienced it one or two weeks ago. It does feel very random. As you've said, it's always all three cards, and it's never any other hero/infantry/vehicle.
I get this occasionally as well. Only notice it when I haven't played as Luke in a while and decide to give him a go in the middle of a busy GA match. Then I die instantly and blame it on the lack of cards (and not my lack of skill 😉) Then I select the cards I want for him again and forget about him for a few weeks. It's a vicious cycle really.
