Game started stuttering after patch, think it has something to do with the servers as the campaign runs fine.

Thank you for the updates. Things seem to have smoothed out a lot, but be sure to let us know if you see these issues manifest again.
- Anonymous8 years agoThis is not fixed yet. It was better Friday but this weekend was still laggy during some matches. Specifically heros vs villains would start off good 1 or 2 matches and after would start lagging and rubberbanding bad. I think there is some improvement over what it was but has a way to go before you should be acting like it's fixed.
I also tried one game of Blast and immediately exited cause it was horribly laggy. - EA_David8 years ago

@Bluelight2138 Thank you, that's exactly the sort of feedback we're looking for, and this is something we will keep monitoring.

Definitely getting better
AFKers - now THAT was out of control over the weekend...

I just played on Kashyyk and it was unplayable(In europe by the way). People were teleporting all over the place.
Same issues over at Battlefield 1 if you allow the game to pick servers or operations. If you pick a low-ping server on the server browser there are no such rubber banding.
But of course, no server browser in Battlefront 2 so much like the loot crates, ending up on a good server seems to be down to a dice roll as well.
- Anonymous8 years agoThe issues are definitely NOT resolved. Starfighter Assault is completely unplayable due to lag issues. The only game mode I have not experienced almost complete unplayability in (due to lag) is heroes vs villains. Before you ask, already checked service provider and everything else at my end - all fine.

I noticed more lag yesterday, as well.
Absolutely terrible RUBBER BANDING today in galactic assault on Australia servers please fix this, even true fans of this game can no longer play its ridiculous.

The game is unplayable now
Kashyyk is still by FAR the worst lagging map. US East Coast PC.
Other servers seem seem to be hit or miss.
It appears to be worse on maps with lots of NPC activity going on. Kashyyk obviously being the worst offender of unnecessary peripheral action.
Yep, unplayable again.
Hey Devs, they really need to fix this. I’ve been one of the strongest supporters of this game but if the game is lagging this badly, it won’t be worth playing or defending any more.By the way EA, what's with the "solved" post? This issue is not solved, far from it. In fact, I believe it is getting worse each day. Quit blowing sunshine up our skirts and fix the issue and then post a "solved" when you have actually solved it. Sadly, most of the issues I come here to find a fix for are solved by players (thank goodness for the players) and not by EA. It seems the players pay to beta test and solve the issue for your buggy game. Still rubberbanding, and no cure in sight and definitely NOT "solved"!
So EA, you think this crapfest has anything to do with your loss of 3 billion dollars in stock value and a 50% to 60% drop in sales compared to the last Battlefront? Perhaps EA's trying to save a few bucks by putting the players on some kind of discount servers to make up for some of their losses?

Here is a great video showing how bad it is now.
I had a similar theory - they've lost income from having to pull the pay to play, so now are trying to save costs by reducing the amount of resources assigned to the game.

@EA_David - The last comment from EA in this thread suggests that the issue is pretty much resolved, although EA will keep its eye on it.
May be useful for EA to:
1. Acknowledge peoples' observations that this is getting worse.
2. Unmark this thread/issue as resolved.
3. Provide some indication as to what EA/DICE is doing and/or when customers might expect to see an improvement. While people are hoping the 12/13 release will provide some relief, I don't think EA wants a rebellion built on hope in this case. 🙂
Please @EA_David,this issue is NOT solved.
Thanks.
Reason why this wont get solved anytime soon : https://www.reddit.com/r/StarWarsBattlefront/comments/7jba4j/how_fifa_fut_killed_sw_bf2/
- Anonymous8 years agoThe lag is still happening and getting worse by the day. The game is unplayable today by 2017 standards. It really needs to be addressed asap.

Got sick of the lag and rubber banding so I downloaded Battlefield 1 played it and had a few glitches with the rendering of the menu buttons but the network play was pretty smooth (on all the games I played) and yet every time I connect to a BF 2 game it's like slipping on banana peels and fighting a grizzly bear covered with Velcro. Seriously what gives? The online multiplayer experience has been a complete wreck, it appears that some players have smooth as silk experiences hitting 40k + points while the rest of us are left crawling out of the lag muck. Have you completely messed up your prediction routines? I used the Ookla network test app you provided under support and get 9 ms pings with 300 MBps yet the game is hardly playable online but BF 1 and BF 4 play fine apart from the ever present BF4 hacks. The single player mode plays perfectly as well with Direct X 12 disabled. OMG ??????
