@jeffbgoofy@DarthMasonLydia Sorry to hear that you are having issues with installing the game. The error you are seeing is one that pops up on the PS4 from time to time, it can be due to a number of things. If playing on a disc the first thing to do is check the disc for any scratches or smudges, I fixed the issue with one of my games a while back simply by giving the disc a wipe. If the issue remains and you are using a disc, first delete the game data and once done eject and reinsert the disc and it should start up.

@DarthMasonLydia If you are seeing the same issue then freeing up some space on your hard drive should fix the issue. The pause icon is just the consoles way of letting you know that you do not have enough free space.
- Anonymous8 years agoDrove 30 miles again but this time Dark side was overcome. Got new copy and up and at em.
@DarthMasonLydiaDid the new CD fix it?
- Anonymous8 years agoBut usually it tells me that I need to delete something to create more space. This just keeps it on pause even after I deleted over half my games and says nothing.

@TheKingInTheNarf Have you tried to free up some space, remember that with the PS4 if a game is 50 gigs then you need 100 gigs free so as to download and then install the game.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko yes I have deleted over half my other games and my system says it currently has 407.7 gigs of space. Like was mentioned before by others the game came right out of the case and into the PS4. Gonna make another attempt to install it right now. I’ll keep you updated if it works.
- Anonymous8 years agoThe game also cause my console to make a weird clicking sounds while it’s tryijh to install. It doesn’t make that sound with any other game. Don’t know if anyone else had that issue.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko Tried again with the same results. I have 407.1 gigs of free space on my PS4 harddrive and there is no scratches on the disc. DBZ Xenoverse 2 installed and played after I was having this issue with Battlefront so I know it’s not my system.I’m gonna return this copy and get another. I hope it’s just a defective disc somehow.

@TheKingInTheNarf Give the disc a clean with a soft cloth, a fingerprint or bit of dust on the disc can cause issues.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko so I deleted the old install took the disc and gave it a wipe and it’s looking promising. It’s been going longer now then it did the last two times I tried this morning. Will let you know if I’m successful. Thanks for help.
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko So I left for a bit to run some errands and when I returned home the PS4 was off. The game does not have the pause symbol on it but when I choose that icon it says 3 hours to finish copying version 1.00 but when I go to my notifications it says 7 minutes left for version 1.5. Does that sound like I’m making progress?
- Anonymous8 years ago@EA_Darko So after waiting for over two hours watching it load I went to check the icon on the PS4 home screen only to see that it’s on pause again.

@TheKingInTheNarf Bit of a strange one, issues such as this can point toward a much bigger issue. I have seen people fix issues like this by re-intializing the console but doing so will wipe. The best thing to do is start the PS4 in safe mode and rebuild the database: https://www.playstation.com/en-ie/get-help/help-library/system---hardware/power---system-stability/safe-mode-on-playstation-4/
@JAyce190 Please try the steps MS suggest here: https://support.xbox.com/en-IE/games/troubleshooting/game-installation-process-stops
- Anonymous8 years agoI downloaded the Madden 18 G.O.A.T. Edition. And after the day it took to download i have waited two full days for it to install, and nothing. I tried rebuilding the harddrive in safe mode, nothing. And please dont tell me to free up some space, because this is the only data on a 500GB harddrive...

- Anonymous8 years agoI tried the safe mode and spent about 35 minutes waiting to talk to someone from sony then another 40 minutes getting nothing accomplished and did the whole safe mode thing as well. I have plenty of storage..

@kimmangz6 If games are not installing then this can mean that there is an issue with your disc or with your console.
- Anonymous8 years agodid you manage to solve this... I downloaded Star Wars BF2 and been having issues with not only BF2 but also the first one trying to update.
Thing is that I dont think this is a disk issue. As I managed to DL all updates and new games such as FIFA18.
