Re: SOLVED Error Code: 770 Unable to connect to Battlefront II & Origin chat

@officernickwilde

I don't think its UPnP and NAT is not the issue because Battlefront II and Origin chat is the only things I can't connect to

Issues with networking equipment can easily only interrupt Battlefront II and Origin and not other applications. This is no excuse to not try it.

Port forwarding shouldn't be a problem in Battlefront II right? I think port forwarding is only necessary for servers (not pcs)

That depends on how you've setup your computer and your network. If there are issues port forwarding might be needed in any case it shouldn't hurt. So no, not just servers.

I know I already use IPv4 (with a security protocol/firewall that lets thru Origin & Battlefront II and all Origins help softwares)

Most internet providers use IPv4. I don't know why you mention this but it's probably irrelevant.

I really don't wanna clean boot... It would take me about 10 hours to install all my applications again (raw downloading time)

Clean boot don't uninstall any of your applications and don't require you to download them again. Please read how to do it at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows specifically for your Windows version.

I can't restart/bypass one of my routers tho as its in my dads apartment (who won't be home for months and is the only one with keys to the apartment) but I've tried bypassing my other and it didn't help

Not having access to a router on your network and the fact that you have a complex network setup is not ideal. Do you have access to try gaming while using the internet on your phone tethered to your computer thus bypassing your dads internet?

Rather hungry right now!

  • Thank you very much for your information 😉

I did you last tip first (connecting using cellular internet using iOS wifi internet sharing) and IT WORKED! My wifi card on my pc is using external drivers tho (which wasn't released by Microsoft) and Im thinking maybe its still possible it have to do with something on my pc?

But if its the router upstairs (which I can't access) fault that I can't connect, is there anything that I can do from my pc?

    Other:
    • I also tried a clean boot on my pc (found out I only have 2 system services that didn't come with windows, lel) and it did no difference
    • Minecraft can't connect to any servers using the internet that goes thru my dads router either, however Roblox and Napoleon: Total War (By Sega which uses Steams match making system) have connection.

Unless you have the access and can login to the router upstairs and reboot it through that I don't think there's much you can do.

    SOLVED 😉

  • Thanks dude :D xD Saved me a lot of time knowing there was nothing I could do

Now the game is magically let thru my router so I can play again (my dad isn't home yet is its awesome)
