- @FearfulWarpII Thanks!
For those of you who are looking for Clone Wars, Rebels, and Mandalorian content: those updates are still a work in progress, as the Mandalorian still has at least another season, and I have only seen Seasons 1-2 of the Clone Wars (currently in the process of watching the rest). I have also not watched Rebels yet. The 2nd February, 2nd March, & 2nd April Updates: The The Clone Wars Celebration (ROUGH DRAFT)
Disclaimer: Current concept content mostly comes from only Seasons 1 & 2, as I am in the process of watching the rest.

If I could decide the heroes for the game I would do:
PT Heroes:Anakin,Obi Wan,Yoda,Padme
Unlockable:Mace Windu(He would be a light side version of Dooku)Qui Gon Jinn,Ahsoka.
PT Villains:Dooku,Grievous,Maul,Jango Fett
Unlockable:,Ventress,Cad Bane,Savage Oppress
OT Heroes:Luke,Leia,Han,Lando,Chewbacca
Unlockable:Nien Numb,Jyn Erso,Ezra Bridger
OT Villains:Darth Vader,Palpatine,Bossk,Boba Fett,Dengar

ST Heroes:Rey,Finn,BB-8Unlockable:Poe Dameron,The Mandalorian
ST Villains:Phasma,Kylo Ren,BB-9E
Unlockable:Snoke,Moff Gideon
Luke,Leia,Han,Lando, and Nien Numb would be playable in sequel trilogy if the player has their “old” skin unlocked
Ahsoka and Obi Wan would be playable in original trilogy if player has their old skin and Rebels skin
I would add new maps like:Utapau,Lothal,Mandalore,Exegol (Only for Starfighter assault and hvv) Mustafar (Only for HvV),
If you want indepth hero concepts I can make a thread for them.
- @HCarbonic My only concern is that there will be too much Clone Wars content by the time I finish watching Season 7! 😂
Anyway, I think there will likely be enough content to cover 3 monthly updates. - @XxDeepDiveJrxX Wow, this is a big list! There are a ton of heroes on here. I don’t think I need hero concepts for all (though you can always post your own disucssion with hero concepts for all of them), but I would be interested to see your hero concepts for Padmé Amidala, Ahsoka, Ventress, Mace Windu, the Mandalorian, and Moff Gideon (as these are heroes that I think are most likely to be added to a potential Battlefront 3 game).
Inferno Squad: Inception (Concept)
“Inferno Squad: Inception is a new prequel campaign based off of the canon novel Battlefront 2: Inferno Squad by Christie Golden. For the first time, players will be able to play as all 4 original members of the Inferno Squad. Inferno Squad: Inception follows the Inferno Squad as they complete their earliest missions, traveling to new locations in the Star Wars galaxy.”
SpoilerDISCLAIMER: I have not read the novel in question, and the campaign level concepts are based off of the summary of the book on Wookieepedia.

Type of Combat: GroundWhat would the price be at launch, and will there be any LOOTBOXES?
Seriously, though, this is awesome.
- @Commander_Ney0 No lootboxes! The gameplay mechanics would work similarly to the current ones in Battlefront 2 (though with less bugs).
Battlefront 3: Celebration would be a free-to-play game with the only microtransactions being cosmetic-based. Price at launch would probably be in the $60-$70 range (similar to normal prices). They should have some heroes be Unlockable and some being a subtle from the start.I also think skins should be unlocked by using the character.Like how there’s the veteran and experienced achievements instead you would get a skin for each rather than credits. The rest of the skins could be for getting a certain amount of kills with them in a single match or getting them to a certain level.
How does this sound?
While I am open to the idea of unlockable heroes, I do not think it is necessarily a good idea. I recall one of the issues with the first couple new heroes BF2 released was that new players who joined after their release had to grind out the necessary credits to unlock them. Since heroes affect gameplay, I think all heroes should be automatically unlocked to all players.
As for some skins being unlocked via acheivements, I actually think this is a very good idea, since cosmetics do not affect gameplay. I especially think this could be applicable to some of the trooper and reinforcement skins. Hero skins, on the other hand, are the foundation for the extra revenue this game brings in via cosmetic-based microtransactions (with the exception of the Rare & Common Hero Skins). While I think the idea of locking skins to achievements could be widely used for the trooper & reinforcement classes, I believe it should be used sparingly with the heroes (maybe only one per hero at the most).@SithApprentice39 The heroes wouldn’t be unlockable through lootcrates or micro transactions. You would unlock them by doing stuff like beating the campaign or beating all the battle scenarios (Any tier)
- @XxDeepDiveJrxX
Isn’t purchasing a hero with credits earned only through in-game play the same thing as unlocking a hero via an in-game achievement?
New players who join the game late would already be behind in terms of upgrading their heroes & classes. I would not want them to have to worry about grinding to unlock certain heroes too (especially the ones that drove them to buy the game in the first place). While I understand where you are coming from and can appreciate that viewpoint, this is my personal opinion on the matter. - @SithApprentice39 Also, in case any of you were wondering how the devs were going to deliver these content-filled monthy updates without overworking themselves, I think the best thing to do would be to already have most of the content done before the game even launches.
This would give the devs more time to not only playtest the new heroes and maps (to balance them & fix bugs) but to also work on future content updates. This would hopefully prevent infamous BF2 scenarios such as OP launch Anakin, killswitching Palpatine, invincibility glitches, etc.
Remember this game is built around celebrating Star Wars. Thus, these updates are “celebrations.” Calling the updates “celebrations,” gives the dev team the leeway to complete most of the content in the “celebrations” before the game even launches. Marvel Celebration:
New Hero (light side): Sana Starros
New Hero (Dark side): BT-1
New Hero (Gray side): Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra
New Map SA: Mako-Ta Space Docks
New Map GA: Jedha (Destroyed)
- @DCDT_GU I am a little confused. Are these references from the canon comics/books?
Yes, from the canon Marvel comics series.
Sana Starros is a smuggler and friend of Han. She ended up helping the Rebellion.
This ist BT-1:
Doctor Chelli Lona Aphra is a rogue archeologist, who has worked for Darth Vader, but also helped out the rebels on occasion. She is the anti-hero of her own comic series.
The Mako-Ta Space Docks are where the rebellion build their new fleet, that got attacked by the Empire. During the battle, the Rogue Squadron was first named, Han Solo piloted a X-Wing and
SpoilerGeneral Jan Dodonna, General Draven, and several other high ranking rebels got killed, resulting in a lot of promotions afterward. On Jedha, that was now a dying basically uninhabitable planet, the empire returned to mine for more kyber crystals and the rebels sabotaged that mining operation.
- @DCDT_GU All of this sounds interesting, but I think a Battlefront 3 game should mainly focus on content from the Star Wars movies, since the majority of the fanbase has seen them.
On the other hand: We have played most battles from the movies (especially the OT era). This is an opportunity to add fresh content, without the developers just making battles up on their own.
I'm probably alone on this but I think Jar-Jar Binks and OOM-9 could make interesting heroes... if we have a football beating Vader, why couldn't we have the smartest B1 defeating Jedi? And Jar-Jar... he would probably be a meme character and is very hated, but again, there are already some characters ingame lot of people dislikes. I always think while its interesting and the gameplay works, even the worst characters are fun to play. So, some basic concept (if anyone is interested):
Jar-Jar: attacks with the gungan electropole - similar to Phasma's staff, but faster, different animation. Altough a melee character, but doesn't do as much damage as a lightsaber. His sprint speed and jump is similar to Bossk.
Health: 800; Health regen: 300
Abilities:
Left - Boomas; the traditional gungan electric grenades. Jar-Jar carries 3 of them at a time, that he can use similar to Leia. Boomas do less damage and have a smaller blast radius, but have increased damage agains vehicles and can stun heroes for a bit.
Right - Fool's luck; Jar-Jar is a bit of an idiot, but he's lucky for sure. While the luck is active, Jar-Jar recieves a health buff, an extra dodge, increased sprint speed and is hidden from enemy radars.
Middle - Confuse; Jar Jar's presence can be really annoying. I imagine Confuse working as the opposite of Finn's big deal - sintead of buffing your team, debuffs the enemy team. Their radars are scrabled if they're in Jar Jar's ability radius, their weapon gains more recoil, making aiming harder, and their abilities have a slower recharge rate.
OOM-9: carries a modified E-5 blaster rifle that has infrared vision when aimed with.
Health: 600; Health regen: 450
Abilities:
Left - Commander; During this ability, OOM-9 buffs himself and his teammates in a large radius - their health slowly regenerates, their abilities instantly refresh and their weapons get overloaded. The ability lasts for 8 secs.
Right - Orbital strike; OOM-9 calls down an orbital strike from the droid command ship that damages anyone in its radius. Inside, the orbital strike works as a shock trap, knocking multiple enemies down.
Middle - Ranged more; OOM-9 switches his weapon to a powerful sniper that shoots piercing bolts with the ability to damage multiple enemies at once. Can go through blocks and shileds, but has a slow fire rate and the player has to charge it for bigger damage.
Emotes: "Open fire!" "You will not stay hidden for long" "Seize fire"
The biggest problem with this hero is its looks on clone wars maps; in the heat of the battle, it would be really hard to see the difference between OOM-9 and the other B1-s. Even though in the movies he has yellow marks, switching it to a distinctive, bright orange color could help.
- @CoffeeTonic Jar Jar’s main attack should be his tongue
- @DCDT_GU True. Depending on how long a Battlefront 3’s support would last, content from other areas of the canon could be added. In my concept, for example, I only have about 1.5 years of content updates planned, future updates after that period could contain content similar to what you mentioned in your previous posts.
@CoffeeTonic Jar-Jar and OOM-9 would be very interesting for a Ep1 celebration update.
”OOM-9”
The mere mention of the true droid Hero’s name has really reminded me of a certain someone on the forums of old
- @SithApprentice39 I would say tv shows as well as long as the characters from it are well known like Ahsoka or the Inquistors.

Who dare awaken the ancient one?
Ah, memories.
