Re: The Enforcer Thread
Ovissian Gunner
The Ovissian, despite that creepy smile, is actually pretty powerful. She basically has the Sentry weapon as a primary, which is pretty awesome, and she excels in close to mid-range combat. Dishing out damage is the forte of the Gunner. She is mediocre at objectives.
Abilities:
Rotary Cannon: This is arguably one of the most powerful guns in the game. This has an incredible fire rate, able to kill an enemy in a second. It’s cooling is not great, but it actually has good range, so that makes up for it. It has a unique startup. Hold down zoom in order to fire immediately. You cannot run when holding zoom. Holding down the trim get will eventually cause it to fire, by only after a few seconds.
Melee: Standard. It looks pretty cool, though.
Explosive shot: The Gunner reconfigures her weapon to fire explosive shots that do tremendous damage against vehicles, turrets, and shields. It is not great against infantry, and it only has four shots until you need to cool it, so it is pretty situational.
Combat Training: This is a combination of Sentry and the Clone Commando’s middle ability. The Ovissian gains unlimited firepower, but can’t sprint. Furthermore, she also heals for damage dealt, and the effect is spread to allies nearby.
Shoulder Charge: This ability is very good for close combat. The Ovissian charges forward, and if she makes contact, it launches enemies and deals significant damage. It can kill infantry, and do serious damage against heroes.
Final Verdict: The Ovissian is very good at defending. Slowly advancing, however, is the best way you can attack with her. She has abilities that all work with defending, and a deadly gun that is best used for setting up in a good position. She has two big problems, though. One: Her gun, although good, can’t react quickly, like an Assault blaster. You need to charge it up, which is not useful at all. Otherwise, the Ovissian complements the Sith Trooper perfectly. Slow, bulky defense versus fast, fragile offense. The other issue I take with the Gunner though, is that smile. It looks like she is on something or drunk. And those eyes, too. But never mind that. The Gunner is a good unit for defending, but not so much at attacking. Tier: Mid-tier.
