Re: The official list of SW Battlefront 2 negatives points

1) EA never had any matchmaking mechanic for Battlefield games and perhaps decided that it's convenient to just port the same schematics into Battlefront.

Just that Battlefield and Battlefront are two worlds, the advantage of high lvl players with all stuff unlocked is much more pronounced in Battlefront imo.

2) Yes, latency and lag issues are indeed no glorious aspects of this game and it's servers. This is my biggest gripe with this game.

3) Remember how we had punkbuster for Battlefield? Such a competent third party software is not present in Battlefront, so cheaters rhave a rather low risk being banned and conveniently use cheats for their main accounts instead of designated troll accounts. Especially if they only use a wallhack it's fail-safe.

4) This game probably should've featured a queue like in the original Battlefront series.

5) I think the spawn protection is alright, at least when teams are halfway balanced. BF2015 was an absolute trainwreck with almost no redzones to restrict players from rushing the enemy spawn.

There are exceptions however that are indeed horrible, like that Grievous can repeatedly advance through the redzone on the separatist's dreadnought to kill clones that just moved 20 m away from the spawn.

6) What do you expect them to do, to just charge you straight on like suicidal maniacs? Flanking people and moving around hotspots has always been a thing in fps games and there's nothing condemnable about - besides aim skills - using tactics to score kills and thereby helping cleaning objectives.

Are you refering to people that abuse speed gadets to run through redzones before the timer runs out? At least in this game the minimap always indicates where opponents are, with few exceptions.

7) Luckily the map design gives you a lot of cover with infamous exceptions like Hoth. It was the worst in BF2015 where most of the maps were just like Hoth. Scarif is horrible too and is even directly ported from BF2015.

I rarely get killed by snipers on any map that isn't like Hoth and on those better maps are also less people camping as snipers in the first place.

8) Objective play isn't well done by random players in any Battlefront/Battlefield game regardless, unless they're dedicated veterans who also love to bring friends along. In Battlefront it also doesn't help that objective play is very simplified and no other sorts of team support like reviving team mates, repairing vehicles distributing ammo...

It feels like the game invites you to rather go on killing sprees because even if you blast those AT-ATs and MTTs with the iron disruptors, no one from your team will be able to destroy even one of these greater vehicles anyways despite all efforts, so all that matters is the last phase of GA again. Oh, also you get more kills and you can enjoy the match for longer if it's decided at the last phase instead of any one before.

Yes, EA unfortunately is plotting a course of releasing one game after another and thereby killing older classics like Battlefront 3.

Perhaps we should be happy that EA has no plans to make a BF III so the playerbase stays and doesn't switch to a new game where we nowdays can't even be sure to bring many great improvements.

I was sure, always a guy to drown the fish while asserting with aplomb that everything is fine ...

It's crazy to be so blind.

The worst part is to excuse them "oh but you know, EA can't help it".

This typical bad faith that we find in people who want to defend one side, that of the publisher, and whatever the truth. But everyone knows this position. So less experienced players can probably be reassured by believing these lies (but they will be disillusioned in the game).

Regarding the connection, it's not latency or whatever, I'm talking about just connecting to play the game, launching the game, a lot of people just can't do it (incredible).

Another point I forgot to mention:

    9) "UNCONTROLLABLE TO TARGET"  VEHICLES (sorry for my english)

You know these vehicles like the jet bike with which to aim is a technical feat, ditto for the speeder on Crait and many others. You can move, but it is impossible to aim well unless you have a computer engineering degree to make the adjustments that EA should have done. Of course, someone will probably come up and say, "you don't know how to play" or "it's up to you to make the settings". Of course ... (boring)

To many to name for a shooter, it’s a casual game for guys to party up and saber smash with 360 force moves. It attracts the everyday Starwars fan but that’s ok, it’s supposed to. It’s more of a saber mash up, a hero game first and foremost that takes little skill to learn which is probably good for business.

Now if we’re thinking of it as a shooter it’s awful, gunplay sux, ttk is terrible, wallhacks galore, don’t need to buy that cheat it’s already in the game along with aimbot. It’s one of the few games that hordes can bowling ball through the enemy without any penalty of losing an entire squad to say a rocket or grenade.

Infantry mechanics are bad, movement is bad, no rewards for flanks due to unlimited scan pulse, Heros, Specialist, Assualt, most special units, it’s unlimited. Then there’s the disruption and shock/stun, can’t think of any other game with so much spam. Definitely hope if a they do a bf3 they go back to a shooter 1st like the old games.
