Re: Where is this pay to win?

The game has not been pay to win ever since they revamped the star card system. In fact I'd argue that it was never pay to win even at release.

The closest would be 'pay to be ahead', but even if you paid, you didn't have an extreme advantage over those who didnt't.

What EA did at the start was to make the 2 most blatantly overpowered trooper weapons (CR2 and Blurgg) and their key modifications immediately accessible, if you bought the collector's edition. Plus some nice purple star cards for Rey, who was arguably the best light side hero when the game released.

Supercharged sentry was free to everyone though. LOL!

No the irony is it never actually was "pay to win" even with the loot boxes.  IGN bought $100 worth of loot boxes in the beta and didn't get a single Epic LOL!!!  The whole system was pay for a CHANCE to win...and apparently a small one at that.

Never mind that even if you got an Epic card, it might not be one you even care about.  It could be one you will never equip or one for a hero or class you never play.

No, as soon as they fixed the progression system, that's when long time players started showing up with Epics across the board.  They had all the skill points necessary to pick whatever Epic loadout they wanted.  That's what you are running into.  Players who know which Epic cards are the best.

This game is play to win now.Because if u are e new player u need to unlock all star cards and weapons and with out op cards and weapons u are trash bot that cant be good vs veteran players.

  • That’s.....not pay to win.

Veterans clapping new players is a thing in pretty much every game ever made. There’s a learning curve
