Its her force powers which prevents her showing on minimap, don't rely minimap if you are against Rey.

    Hello there! 🙌

Rey's ability "Insight" has multiple effect.

    1. Highlight the enemy and Mark them on the minimap (30m range)
    2. Increase her melee damage (+20)
    3. Decrease her stamina comsumption (-50%)
    4. Conseal herself from the enemy's minimap

Also Insight's effecive time is 8sec and recharge time is 10sec.

In Hero mode, there is high possibility that your enemy has purple "Extended Sight" card.

    (Effective time will be 15sec.)

In my opinion, she is really good and fun to use character.

    Yes!! You are right. 🙂

    1) Rey has no ranged abilities unlike Vader/Kylo and therefore is bound to actually use her saber as only weapon.

    2) Her vanishing from the minimap is only possible when her middle ability is active as @Sati_Sati pointed out. So there is at least some cooldown. However, clever players will wait until the ability is ready again before advancing towards the enemy once again and the ability cooldown duration is short.

    3) No class in BF II is fully undetectable. For example if that Rey uses the Dash Strike from behind, you can her her activation scream. Regardless, her footstep sounds aren't suppressed and if a player uses a dodge, you can still hear the "woosh". I guess it's harder to spot without headphones, but being able to be cloaked from the minimap is simply meant to be a great advantage when in contrast everyone else is shown.

    4) Rey is a great hero overall imo and especially in large modes very fun to use. But her having no ranged dmg abilities but a stealth ability instead means that the player who uses her will automatically put a heavy aspect on flanking people. So you simply have to deal with it, you can't expect a Rey player to just walk upfront to the enemy like Darth Vader.

I also have people in HvH crying about it regularly while they have no problem to use their great Kylo and Vader abilities on me, of course... They're exactly those people who refuse to acknowledge that Rey simply isn't Vader.

  • @TRlALON  Is correct here. Rey is pretty middle of the road of a character EXCEPT for one aspect that is broken but it’s a bit of an exploit IMO

    Dash Strike

When players crank up the input sensitivity Dash Strike becomes the old Claw Rush 2.0 before the nerf.

A high sensitivity Rey will see her movements so incredibly chaotic that it’s incredibly easy to register the hit detection and get the damage. What’s more is that unlike Claw Rush, Rey can pair dash with a regular strike for even more damage.

Not all players exploit like this but a lot do. IMO Dash should have been nerfed whe Claw Rush was to prevent this from becoming OP by reducing its damage output. Dash has a natively low cool down so it doesn’t need high damage to begin with; a properly used Rey can hang in a duel pretty  well without having a broken Dash be able to melt players.

  • Rey is only good in Hero Showdown IMO, them 3 dodges really come in handy when you’re at 200hp. Other than that she is cunning but also weak, and her swing speed isn’t the best. If you think Rey is OP compared to Anakin or Luke then you’ve been blessed to never have come across a decent one.

Like is by far the most broken on the light side; Annakin not so much; he’s not bad but he doesn’t have or lean on mechanic exploits.

Im talking about HvV & HS; not the large scale maps. Jacking up her sensitivity makes Dash similar to pre-buff claw rush; not that it can do multiple hits but moreso that it can cause Rey to scramble around insanely quickly and exploit the hit detection and then combo with one to two regular saber strikes.

Dash only has a 10 second cool down so Rey can lean on this a lot. She has plenty of stam to keep her opponent at bay for the 10 seconds between uses.

Reys dash wouldn’t recognize more than half the hits it does in game if the sensitivity exploit wasn’t used. Doing this not only registers a hit around blocks because of Reys ridiculous spam spinning but also yields the knock back which allows extra strikes .. you’re looking at a minimum of 370 damage per combo and being able to do this every 10 seconds. With the right cards it jacks that same combo of damage up to 499.

I don’t think being able to combine Dash and strikes is a problem; I think the ability to buff Dash to get around blocks by making Rey move around crazily and get a strike + knock down is what’s broken.

Reys swing speed is average but her lunge distance is really high. Her real strengths are stam management and buffing Dash by jacking up the sensitivity.

Annakin has to properly use his abilities and doesn’t have a mechanic exploit like this; further Annakin also risks his abilities bugging out against him moreso than Rey does. Luke is just broken overall.
