Hey this would be nice but where do they start. The game is buggier than ever. It's just too much to even begin going into. I feel like all of us that have paid full price for this game are really being let down still and its now 11 months down the line.
On the roadmap it says that bugfixes are "an ongoing effort" - I guess that's the best we'll ever get.
Tbh I gave up on the game. Can't even say that I did it by choice - but playing ever since launch just got tiresome, they just can't deliver. Most of the latest "new" content ever since TLJ was just reused BF1 maps, which I've already played for countless hours in its original game, where it actually had good game modes made especially for them.
Postponing Anakin and the new mode all the way to February...? Yea, no thanks, that was the last nail in the coffin. I don't even feel like coming back to try out Grievous later this month, one character is just not enough "new content" after all this time. Lol, I don't even want to admit it to myself, but I've totally lost interest.
I understand how you feel, everytime I come back to a game, I see nothing has really changed.
It's a shame though. There was a time where I even considered making a YT channel dedicated to BF2 tutorials since I've spent so much time leveling up troopers and heroes - I think I really could've made helpful videos to new players. But who would even care now, in this state?
I've also enjoyed posting on these forums, and would have been willing to commit to a bit more serious involvement regarding the BF2 community - but this is just a sinking ship, and it has been for a long time.
Not enough imagination and creativity, I suggested an online galactic conquest, where players would join their choice faction and try to conquer the galaxy, all the modes could of been incorporated and the players could of then become the story, all they would have to do is keep expanding the planets and units. Look at the star wars galaxy map, think about the timeline, theme you wanna focus on
For example DICE "here's our mandalorian expansion" which would include Jango Fett, Death Watch units and Pre Vizla, Bo katan as heroes. Mandalore capital galactic assault/stike/blast map, mandalore space map, and other planets related like maybe concord dawn.
Creating a mode like this would be like a career mode with wars that could potentially last indefinitely. You would start by copying what the original battlefront 2 did in their mode, and then look to the empire at war for inspiration, thus incorporating more tactical elements.
A perpetual war with thousands of players joining forces in a united faction to conquer/save the galaxy would become the story/the depth and the Publisher/Dice would have to do is keep expanding the universe with more and more planets of some thematic significance
Even the OT trilogy the Scariff map should of been ported over by now especially since it would be aesthetically different
It would of also worked as a business model to have a number of Land/Space maps, vehicles, units, expanding the star wars map that could be bundled and priced for 5-10 dollars
It could easily be the best online game and more popular than the most popular online games......but you have to have the creative vision see that, and I don't believe EA/Dice have that vision other than to try skidding by with mediocrity.
The other thing the game lacks is long term goals, even in battlefront 2015, you had to reach high levels to unlock trooper skins, this game easily should of had various clone armors and helmets available to be unlocked as levels progressed. Even the little things say a lot like making sure ION/ROCKETS vary in spawn points so people can't just turn the game into "beat you to the spot and camp". 6 potential spots for 3 or 2 ROCKET/IONs at every juncture would solve that.
Very underwhelming and disappointing, the lack of vision
Even though I agree with the majority of your post, I started this post to point out the FIXING part, not the ADD CONTENT part.
- ok...then creating 3 additional spawn points at every juncture for the ION/Rockets in galactic assault would be a fix that i want, to add unpredictability and to stop the "beat them to the spot and camp" style gameplay
I think @Rogue_Manda_YT is talking about fixing the bugs, inconsistency and general stuff that makes the game unplayable. @raidernaphtaliif you're getting that happening it means the other team are overwhelmingly better than your team and is a fix for the matchmaking I would have thought rather than the amount of ion disruptors. I personally think that 6 ion disruptors would be way too many and would end games very quickly especially if the sides are already imbalanced.

Not 6 ion disruptors, but 6 potential spawn points on each junction
@raidernaphtaliI still think in terms of fixing anything it's an issue for matchmaking which definitely needs sorting. Sorry I didn't get what you meant from previous post. I wouldn't mind seeing that tried might be interesting. Perhaps we will get to see something like this in the new non linear game mode they plan to introduce.
