I am am unable to change from windowed to another setting. Borderless crashes the game and fullscreen does nothing. The only way I can play is in windowed mode.
In fact, many of the video settings are grayed out.
Has anyone else encountered this issue and is there a fix?
So, for any experiencing the same issue, I ultimately decided to reset Windows and that fixed the issue.
What do you mean by 'reset'? Fresh install?
Windows 10 has a restore option that reinstalls windows but does not delete your personal files. I actually found it to be pretty helpful and am now glad I did it. Freed up some hard drive space and got rid of several years of "clutter". Plus, the game video settings now work and I don't get the black screen crash either.
Just be aware that you'll probably need to reinstall many of our games and other programs.
