Interesting. Good workaround. I prefer DX12 though, and it shouldn't be an issue. Luckily I have a SSD so reloading isn't such a pain, but it's still silly. Posting DXDiag. Sorry I've been off for a bit...been travelling and working a lot.

I didn't want to use DX11 either and noticed the difference right away. You don't have to reload anything, just tell the game to use DX11 vs. DX12 in the options. One good thing I noticed is that I got a bump in FPS with the change. (I noticed you are also using a 970 running at 4K ... what settings do you use in game?)
- 7 years agoI'll give DX11 a quick try before I revert back to some older drivers. I've read 387.92 or 385.41 may help.
I use the optimal settings GeForce Experience recommends. It's low and the resolution is actually 80% scaled. I've also gone into the NVIDIA control panel and turned LOD from clamp to allow. Huge boost to performance with that. - 7 years agoLooks like DX11 is a good workaround for me. I don't see it as a long time solution though, since other times I've tried DX11 I had worse performance or other issues...

Hey everyone!
I'm glad to see that the workaround with using DX11 is working. I'll notify our experts that DX12 might cause some graphical issues after the latest update. Again, thanks for reporting this in the first place and posting your DxDiag reports!
