Sentry ability is way too effective VS heroes!!!

Well there is not much to be said... The sentry ability of the heavy class is way too OP against heroes!!! I was playing versus Maul activated sentry he dashed towards me and even though i died i dropped 2/3 of his health in like half a second... I seriously felt bad for the guy cause he had to get 8000 BATTLE POINTS and a LONELY HEAVY almost killed him... Even when i play heroes myself i notice that even an average player can wreck me with the SENTRY so i hide intantly when i see a heavy... DICE should remember that HEAVY CLASS IS JUST A TROOPER and a trooper should NEVER be THAT EFFECTIVE VERSUS HEROES!!! Finally the EXPLOSIVE SENTRY is plain absurd versus lightsaber heroes because even though they can block a normal sentry they get the aoe damage from the explosions which drops their life in an instant... I think that this ABILITY is being EXPLOITED even worse than the LAAT DEAL that u fixed in the 1.03 patch! Hope this gets adressed REALLY FAST!!! DROP SOME EXP ON THIS POST SO THIS EXPLOIT CAN BE REMOVED.

    This is ridiculously exaggerated. It takes longer than a half second to kill a normal trooper which has 150 hp. It would take several seconds of sustained hits to kill a hero. Sentry also comes with a substantial spin-up animation, and it comes with a large mobility penalty.

    Sentry is way less effective at taking out heroes than vanguard...

    People who complain about heroes not being strong enough should just learn how to play heroes better.

    A good Maul will be up in the air or in spin animations so much that you shouldn't be able to keep your sentry on him.

    I feel like everyone thinks that heroes should be invincible and that enforcers and aerials just get shafted with the exception of the wookie warrior who I'm betting will get nerfed.

    But when you look at what those reinforcements cost, you get less value per battle point out of one of those than you get out of purchasing a hero, especially Bossk or Boba Fett or Rey.

    Sentry is fine. Heroes are fine.

    The battle point cost of vehicles needs to go up. The battle points you earn while piloting a vehicle needs to go way down. 


    Enforcers other than the wookie warrior need a buff or a price reduction. And earning a few battle points while playing one wouldn't hurt either.

  • Apparently you do not understand that what i am suggesting is not BY ANY STRETCH OF THE IMAGINATION wrong... the sentry is OP vs HEROES and the fact that saber heroes cannot block the updated versions of it is just absurd... I feel sorry for you cause you are probably an abuser of the fact and this is a way for you to feel accomplished. A TROOPER SHOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO MOW DOWN A HERO who costed 8000 points... Maul is fast yes and he can dodge the stuff no problem but a vader who tries to block is screwed... I dont need to explain it any longer.

  • The reinforcements are really good. You just need to understand that... How can u say that the JUMP TROOPER needs a buff... You good sir are demented... You whine about the reinforcements and ask for a cost reduction which is ridiculous to say the least... 2000 BP  for Jump Trooper is actually too low... i have 50 killstreak with that reinforicement multiple times...

    and they really lowered the BP INCOME in the air... You must really be a subpar pilot to say the least to claim this... As for the TANKS this is the only thing i can agree upon... They are WAY TOO EFFECTIVE as well... A 1500 tank can kill a hero from an insane distance in a couple of seconds... No skills required to do that... Other than that the Wookie warrior needs a nerf the rest of the reinforcements are fine...

    You certainly are an angry toxic individual...

    Vader and every other character has other tools besides just block. 

    Again, sentry has a large wind-up, and a person using sentry has no mobility.

    If someone fires sentry at you as a Jedi, assume that is the explosive or supercharged variety and use one of your other tools.

    Force abilities interrupt anything a normal trooper can do with the exception of a very small frame of a roll.

    Every force user has a good dodge. Every force user has a good jump. Most force users can run at improved speed.

    So stop sitting there trying to block when you have other tools.

    Again, people who complain about heroes not being strong enough need to just get better at playing the heroes.

    Also... I must be a subpar pilot to claim that ships are too strong? How does that even make sense? In my group we fight over the overpowered spaceships because if you get in one you do strafing runs on the objective and get 50+ player kill streaks and go straight from a fighter or interceptor into any hero you wish and get the top score for the round. They are overpowered and often a good pilot can impact a round more than even a good tank driver or even a hero character.

    As far as the jet trooper... good for you I guess? My point is that the jet trooper has 50-100 extra hp over a normal trooper and an explosive weapon with a long cooldown and costs 1/4th the cost of a hero. The advantage you gain per point spent is way way less than if you purchased a vehicle or hero if you are decent at either.

    With serious players now having all their trooper's primaries setup with the best attachments, the aerial's lackluster primaries are honestly disadvantaged against normal troopers with dual attachments. I'd agree that aerials are better at least in certain terrains thanks to their larger health pool and ambush ability but only marginally. 

    I would wager that on average aerials get 2 maybe 3 kills per purchase. I bet that the LAAT which costs a mere 400 BP averages more eliminations than the aerial does despite the aerial costing 4 times more and suffering a drastically larger BP income penalty.

  • Your IQ must be pretty low buddy... I really feel sorry for you... Force moves have really short aoe to begin with... So the interrupt is 8/10 not viable... The "dodge" is just a couple of meters and an average player can adjust the aim in no time whatsoever... The other TOOLS that u claim are what? If u jump U CANNOT BLOCK SO U GET STOMPED ANYWAY... If u get ONLY 2-3 KILLS with an Aerial unit you are really pathetic at this game... I am at the top 3 at the scoreboard CONSTANTLY and i have done 70killstreak with the heroes so dont say * about skill or anything like that... The SENTRY ability IS UNHEALTHY FOR THE GAME... You are just a sad abuser cause this is probably the only way you can get easy points by abusing abilities that are clearly broken... SO WHAT IF SENTRY HAS NO MOBILITY IT HAS PERFECT ACCURACY AND CAN DROP A HERO FROM 100 METERS AWAY... GOOD LUCK THROWING A VADER SWORD AT THAT DISTANCE...

  • You talk about MOBILITY and you do not realise that Aerial units have THE BEST MOBILITY IN THE GAME... Double Jet ability... all you have to do is stay mobile... Their "dodge" is even better than the Hero one... Their blaster is twice as damaging than regular troopers... How u can OnLY get 2-3 kills with it is beyond me...

    As for the Starfighters ALL YOU HAVE TO DO is to pilot one if u see someone killing you... Dogfight him win and problem solved... In the beta and the 10 hour Trial killing AI was IMBALANCED YES... But now the rate of the AI is CONSIDERABLY LOWERED... And u dont even get 1/5 of the points... The toxic thing about it is SOLVED... If a PILOT IS HARASSING YOU LEARN HOW TO FLY AND ENGAGE HIM... PROBLEM SOLVED...

    Maybe he's worked up, but he's still right. Supercharged sentry simply overwhelms heroes in a second. I am using it, and it is used against me, it works like a charm. Even if you block, the little explosions kill you in no time, and even if you dodge, a) it has AoE damage, b) you have to play against someone extremely high not to be able to follow that movement.

  • I think its good. They've got to have some why to die easily. It makes it more fun if you know that when you become a hero as well, because you know your not invincible, but you are powerful.
