Should there be a way to gain xp in a singleplayer game mode?

Personally I think there should be, since I'm not really a fan on multiplayer pvp in general, and mostly get games exclusively for the PVE. It would be nice to be able to access the progression system in a singleplayer mode, maybe a special version of instant action where you need to be online so you can't use mods to cheat. I know co op exists, but I'd honestly prefer to not interact with any real people.
