That would make sense. A wired connection does sound like my best bet, just gotta figure out how to do it. My WiFi router and my PS4 are at opposite diagonal ends of the house because of the phone line.

I've also read it helps to not have anything else using the same WiFi at the same time - so if you have a laptop, cellphone, anything on the same Wifi at the same time, it cuts the bandwidth (is that how it works?) needed to play the game, so try putting your phone and laptop on airplane mode.
I put both on airplane mode and still get kicked off, but maybe it keeps me from getting kicked off more often? who knows
