Sound cutting out

Summarize your bug In the middle of gameplay, all sound will randomly cut out. This has happened twice to me now and is only resolved by exiting the entire game and restarting it. Its very annoying when I am really into a match and then half way through its as though my trooper has gone deaf.

Good news:
Fixed an issue where the game's sound would occasionally cut abruptly during gameplay and remain inactive until the game was restarted.

very annoying as you have to restart then run the gauntlet of finding another server ..Naboo is all to rare to get to play in so having to leave a Naboo match is very disapointing.

I'm having the same problem too, quite jarring considering the sounds are massive part of the star wars immersion.

Yup has happened to be twice. last match i was on a roll with darth maal. All sound cuts out and then since can't hear anything i end up dying. very annoying and hurtful to game play.

I've seen other players complaining about this bug in the in-game chat, and I just now experienced it for the first time. I was playing as a Specialist defender on Hoth in Galactic Assault. It's probably not related, but the sound cut out just as I was activating my Infiltration ability while defending the indoor portion of the map.

Happens to me a few times a week, with pretty regular playing. Like others have already posted, I have not found a way to reset the audio to get it to come back without exiting the game.

This has been an issue since the beta release. For some reason, when I launch BF2, my mouse loses it's ability to scroll so I have to 3 finger salute to get the task manager to come up then it goes away.
