Good news:
This is really sorry... Never had sound cut out on any other Dice / BF game going back to the original battlefield.
It's just rediculous that it requires a complete restart of the game, just when you are trying to enjoy the game, no sound, have to exit the server, only to find another game with horrible team balance.
At least find a solution where you can reset the audio so it comes back in the menu. Having to exit the game just ruins the experience.

Using 5.1/7.1 audio in game
Using hdmi audio out from gpu to audio receiver.
I've had it happen in every single map, happens 1-2 times every play session.
Your efforts to fix this are depressingly dismal, looks pretty much like no one is even trying.
Good news (maybe)...
The issue has not occurred at all since I implemented the "stereo mix" solution earlier in the thread. (Thanks @pijcab!) May be coincidental, but sure seems like that did something.
This being said, I play all modes - i.e. I don't play GA as frequently as some others.

Same here, but I mainly only play GA.
