Spinning camera is going crazy - everything else seems to work

Hi

I just bought Battlefront II unfortunately there is a camera issue which is making it unplayable. Other than that the performance  of the game is fine,  no issues with lag or graphics.

When I enter a game after around 10 seconds the camera starts spinning like crazy around the character (in both 1st or 3rd person perspectives) and cannot be corrected.

I have done the following and nothing has worked:

- plugged and unplugged USB devices

- lowered graphics settings including enabling and disabling DirectX 12.

- restarted my pc.

- installed latest NVIDIA drivers.

- increased and decreased sensitivity.

I'm at a loss. I don't know how to correct this issue but I'm unable to play the game. Any assistance would be appreciated.

  • I play on X Box and I'm having the same issue, although it's Avery slow spin - yet it still messes with my aim. Just reached out to tech support. I haven't found a solution as yet, but as soon as I do - it's yours. Peace bro!
  • Got the answer:

it's a controller sensitivity issue - your "stick deadzone" is probable too low. This makes the computer/ console super sensitive to the most minute changes in direction of your thumb sticks - even when your not touching it. The system could be picking up on a slight imperfection of the controller design/ manufacture: thumb sticks not perfectly centered.

Here's the fix - access the following menue: Options/ Controles/ Stick Deadzone

    Increase or decrease as necessary.

I find the 11 is the lowest that I can have my stick deadzone before my cross hairs and trooper start moving on their own.

    Hope this helps.

spread the word - we're not the only ones having this problem.

By the way, I figure this out on my own so I didn't need to wait 72 hrs for a reply from tech support.

    Oh yeah!
