8 years agoYou might want to play the first SWBF from two years ago. It had the perfect star card system for the “casual player.” Unfortunately everyone complained. And now, we’re stuck with the current system. I agree as a grown adult with responsibilities, this progression system is too robust and time consuming. Needless to say, I have been somewhat disappointed at this game.

Again, you don't need to play very much to get decent cards for the things you play.
The way the game is setup, you get a large dump of resources for achievements early on. The first tiers of cards are very cheap.
You can easily get your favorite character tuned up with 3 tier 3 cards within 10 hours of playing.
It's getting the tier 4 cards that is a huge pain. There are maybe 12 tier 4 cards in the game that are really worth the effort.
The majority of the cards just shave off a second or two off a cool down which probably won't be noticed in most cases anyway.
The gun grinds are honestly where the biggest advantages are to be found, not the cards... and I don't hear people complaining about the gun grinds strangely enough.
