@RedSatyr5 @halowolf969 Thanks for the questions, I'll try find out more info.
For Origin pre-orders I think the codes will just be handled internally but I'll try to confirm this.
What this would mean is that the account with a pre-order would just be able to play from the 4th without needing to take further action.
Generally codes are needed when purchasing from a 3rd party, but extra codes for first party direct digital sales are usually processed automatically.
Edit: Yes I got confirmation, if you pre-ordered via Origin or Xbox/PS4 digital stores then you don't need to worry about codes, you can just download when Early Access becomes available.
I pre-ordered on Amazon on 9/27 but they hadn't sent my beta key up yet by 10/2, so I called Customer No-Service, who said (after putting me on hold for 10 minutes) that the beta codes would go out on the 4th. That was a fake answer, because everyone I've seen on the forums either got theirs right away or had to write Amazon Customer Service for it.
So I cancelled the preorder on Amazon, and pre-ordered on Origin instead. It was only after I had ordered however that I noticed the tiny, almost imperceptible fine print on the SW:BFII page that said pre-orders made within 4 days of the beta would not receive beta codes.
FML.. I've gotten used to Amazon letting me down. I'd have never used them except I had some store credit left with them. But this stresses my hide even more that I won't even get a chance to try the game on my PC before my credit card gets raided for $60 when I could have waited for the price to inevitably drop in a few weeks...
Lesson learned: Not falling for pre-order baiting anymore.

Cryoscout,
FYI, everyone can download the beta on Friday without a code. So you still get to test the game before Nov 17th.
