Confirmed. Well looks like "We" all should have waited till February... I've NEVER seen a game displace this much revenue by offering 12 weeks of continued sales.
Black Friday I got the new colossus for 25. But as far as waiting goes, if we all waited and bought games when they came down to, say, 30 dollars, perhaps the companies would start there. I have seen a few games retail price drop off significantly, but they were not very good. I am surprised the first reboot of battlefront retained is retail value so long, especially since there wasn't anything really there.

Yep, it feels like a waste of money paying $100 dollars, when you just had to wait a few months and pay $25 instead.
- 8 years agoI'm getting back into that cycle. Now I'm married and have a life, no more $60 games when I can wait and then buy em for $20 a piece.

Seriously. Funny thing is I have way more money then when I was a kid but like, I also have way more patience and less time to play.... so I can save $40 easy, then talk myself into using $10 for SW:Goh, LOL. Still a net savings from past-me.
I got BF2 for Christmas so it is what it is - I'd have held off otherwise.

Almost the same here, as I would prefer to pay for a game that is worthwhile... one that actually worked.

The problem that I am noticing, is that developers are relying too heavily on the internet. They're pushing games out long before the game is ready and assuming that people can just download a patch. I doubt I am the only one who can't just download an update every other day because I don't have access to reliable fast internet. Look at the assassins creed series. The put out the french revolution game, after the success of black flag and it was awful. They did the right thing and backed off the yearly release schedule for Syndicate, which was good. I have no idea how origins turned out. My point, we get crappy games by following the "COD model" of having to have a game out every 6 months to a year.

I quit playing Call of Duty when Advanced Warfare came out. It was all about gadgets and trinkets and failed to really keep the whole game style to one premise "to enjoy playing"
- 8 years agoHave you tried WW2?

Yes I did try it for a coupe days and sadly did not like it much.
- 8 years agoThe main campaign was decent. My problem is I can't seem to get to play it to the end. Either hardware issue (external HD failure) or software issue (game kept freezing in the same spot). I'm becoming very dissatisfied with gaming. Everything is so dependent on the internet and content is rushed out the door. The developers aren't taking time to make a great game anymore. You get a mediocre game at best, that barely works 95% of the time, then there's patches and updates. I get making things better, but to have a new game come out and it completely fails, that shouldn't be acceptable. Halo remastered, Black Flag, any COD lately just to name a few.
