Hello, I am campaigning for EA to reverse their decision to cancel Battlefront 2. It's a great game and was just getting momentum, and there is still so much content to add. I have a petition going (I won't share it here because I think it's against the rules) but it's got a lot of momentum. How many signatures before someone takes me seriously? The community is FURIOUS!
Yeah it's not a welcome thing, especially with the highly positive direction the game has been on the past year or so. It feels like it just got it's legs and now they stop without even an announcement of Battlefront 3.
That said, good luck with the petition. No doubt the failure of Battlefield V is behind this. Battlefield is DICE's own IP and big for EA. So they've likely got the entire studio focused on Battlefield 6 which is set to come out in 2021. Whether we get a Battlefront 3 likely depends on how well things go with development of Battlefield 6.

I would truly hope that you will come to realize that your attempts to force a corporation into undoing what has already been done to be utterly fruitless.
I just got in to this game only to find out it's at EOL? Ugh.....
