Starfighter Assault Post-Squadrons

How is the population in Starfighter Assault now that Squadrons has been out about a couple of weeks? Given that (theoretically) most of the experienced veterans (and more than a few tryhards as well) have gone somewhere else, is it easier to get (and level up) Hero Ships now? I play on PS4, but I would expect a similar amount of player drift regardless of platform, so PC/Xbox players feel free to comment on the state of your SFA communities as well.

  • I usually 'quick match' on PC and have yet to join a Starfighter Assault game since Squadrons has released. Prior to Squadrons I would say I would get like 25% chance of getting a SA when selecting quick match. That said, I haven't specifically tried to join a SA game (aside from maybe once or twice) so I can't say with much confidence if any are happening or not, but from what I've heard and seen in my limited experience,  finding a SA game on PC is nearly impossible now.

I'm guessing XBox and PS (PS especially) are probably still seeing some SA assault games once and awhile, simply considering their much much larger active player base.

I actually prefer SA over Squadrons apart from the orange revenge blip

    Just can't get into squadrons

@ToddyRocket1ahh that's a bummer you can't get into Squadrons, haven't played it myself but looks cool.

I watched a stream today of someone playing SA on Xbox. He had no trouble finding a game.

Yeah me too, find the first person off-putting in squadrons unfortunately

  • I am really enjoying playing Squadrons now but I still love the Starfighter Assault. 🙌

Those prequel maps are great (Kamino/Ryloth)!! And I can use many Hero/Villain ships.

    Pros and *s, you know.
