Had a similar topic on this, it is present ever since the May (!) update of the Han Solo Season. This needs to be fixed ASAP, getting real tired of relogging into the game.
I am on Xbox One X, so at least the quitting part is smooth. This is gotta be an even bigger pain in the butt on PC...
Edit: Also, this sometimes causes extreme lag on the XOneX, even after quitting. I have to restart the whole console, because the dashboard itself is lagging.
I have noticed it more frequently with Solo season...
