I am having the exact same issue. Looked into it a bit. When the game is optimizing shaders, it used up all my syetem ram in mere seconds. I have 8 gigs of ram on my system. around 5 gigs free. After starting the game it "optimizes shaders" . It shocked me that in mere seconds it used up all my system ram until the client hangs or crashes. I have an amd rx 580 and have even tried turning on and off shader cache. All it did was either crash the client or the client would hang. Either way, The client has a memory leak at startup I am guessing

So it's not as much a memory leak as it is low RAM to begin with. Also, RAM prices are ridiculously low these days. Might be worth upgrading.

I have 32 GB of memory, Ryzen 2700x and a 1080TI now so no worries 🙂
