I've noticed this on PC since the latest patch (which could just be coincidence).
How do you know you're connecting to Ohio servers?
BTW - There are other posts regarding stuttering. You may want to add your details to one of those and indicate "Me too". The posts with more "Me too" flags will get more attention from EA.
The how you can know- part is you go to options and EA Accountandwhatnot there you'll encounter "ping server" which actually is the pool of games you're playing from. Mine is resetting constantly to singapore, while it's the worst gateway here in Thailand :D When I set it to for example Germany, I get instantly games on multiplayer - if I set it to Japan it's all empty lobbies and should a game appear, it'll be 327 and out of there before first gunfire... Server browser would be so simple...
stuttering is out of control today. Galactic Assault is practically unplayable.
