SW Battlefront II pre-order

I have pre-ordered this game (standard edition) from a online store called cdkeys.com. The problem is that they say they will send me the key only on 16 or 17 November, at game launch. I asked them what about the pre-order bonuses and they replied that they don't have it. By consulting your list of Participating Retailers I saw that in fact cdkeys.com is not included, so does it mean that I will not have any bonuses?

It seems to me that a pre-order is a pre-order. I don't understand your commercial politics and I don't have to, but in my opinion it's an unfair situation.

I'm still keeping my purchase because I've gotten a good discount and surely I can wait two more days to play the beta, and the other bonuses I still can get them by playing the game, right? But it feels truly unfair. I think you should rethink your politics about this.

Please help me if I'm wrong about this.

  • Hello @SithJun As you can see in this article Cdkeys Store is not trusted retailer https://www.help.ea.com/en-za/help/faq/where-to-buy-ea-games-v2

"EA assumes no responsibility with respect to the selection, performance, and use of information or products found on these or other third-party retailers and websites."

Before the purchase you must read the description of the product or contact seller for the information.  In case if you want to get all bonuses for the Pre-Order, you need to pre-order the game via Origin Store or trusted retailers which you can find in my link.

I know some out there are not trusted sellers, but I am used to online shopping. And I trust cdkeys.com store as many others do, as you can see in this link: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/www.cdkeys.com.

So if EA does not trust it, I don't see why. The thing is, it feels unfair not to have the pre-order bonuses.
But I can live with that, because I've got the main thing: the game itself.

In the list of trusted retailers, following the link you provided, strangely Steam and Ubisoft are there, but they do not sell this game and Amazon.co.uk only sells it to UK. I live in Portugal and I know there are other online stores from where I could buy it, but the price is an obstacle.

And in the same page, EA states the following:

«How do I know if I can trust a retailer?
Check out the game you want to buy at several different stores and compare the prices. If an offer seems too good to be true, then it usually is. Unauthorized retailers often offer games at much cheaper prices than you’ll see on trusted retailer sites, like the ones listed above.»

In my opinion this is wrong. It's not the price that determines if a seller is trusted on not. On the other hand, what I have seen is some trusted ones (from EA's list), as well as Origin, selling this game without applying any currency exchange rates, and others applying the exchange rate the wrong way. That's not trusted for me.

    Hello @SithJun

The article, @IIPrest0nII linked you to got all your questions covered:

Our games are sold at various online and in-store retailers across the world, but sometimes these retailers are not all they may seem to be.

Some unauthorized retailers bring risks with each purchase you attempt to make, and they can put your account and personal information in danger. Make sure to protect yourself:

    • At best, you might receive the wrong product or language version of a game you buy.
    • At worst, unauthorized websites may be phishing for your EA Account or payment information. This can result in losing access to your account or fraudulent activity with your payment details.
    • Additionally, any illegally obtained games and Product Codes will be disabled by us, and access to the product will be lost.

    Cheers,

    Archi
