SW BF 2 crashes my system, SP won't launch

First of all, I can play MP part of the game. No problem there. Sometimes it crashes on loading screen. Problems start when I try to close the game or start SP part. When it crashes it scrambles my ...

Hey, @HangmansTree  @hmtnotify make sure that all drivers for windows and your gpu drivers are up to date.  
 
Are you on Dx12 or DX11? 
 
You can also try to do a clean boot to see if there any programs messing with Star Wars: Battlefront 2 and turn off any overlay programs for example Discord or Nvidia experience.
 
Try running a CCleaner to remove old temp files and cache.

I partly solved the mystery, a "go around" really. Playing in windowed mode doesnt produce the screen artifacts. But game crashes all the same while trying to load singleplayer. No warnings or reports. Just good ol' CTD.

I recon something loading the cinematic crashes the game for me.

Any further advice?

This is really frustrating as I am in minority who bought the game looking forward more to SP than MP...
