Is this the same problem we are (or at least I am) seeing today?
Game loads OK but can't find any matches.
Timed challenges do not appear on the intro screen nor in the challenge location.
Get the message "I get a bad feeling about this. The content is not loading. Please try again"
Sounds like a software issue?
@LaChaDerp the game isn't dead yet. Its an issue they have been aware of for a while and will hopefully fix. They identified problems with specific countries servers and have recommended users don't use them, worth checking and changing your ping site. This still doesn't necessarily mean it will work but you have a better chance of getting a populated game on a ping that is working.

I am getting games now but there is still no Challenge information available … so I suspect that there is another minor glitsch at play?
@chuntery good to know your getting games. Im guessing the challenges problem etc didn't resolve itself getting back into menu, have you tried basic troubleshooting like restarting game/ console, restoring licenses(PS4) etc?

Amazing they can't take the servers down or have them not set as default so people don't just assume the game is dead or doesn't work. Thanks though.
- Anonymous7 years agoWas a solution for a bit, now still down to 3 people in every server at best. QUALITY EA.
These are not fixes, this has been a persistent problem for 3 months now for a lot of people. The frustrating part is that there is no communication from EA other than "our tech people are looking into it."
The August and September updates even showed that EA didn't understand what the problem was. It's clearly not a ping issue. It started with this new matchmaking feature and varies as that's messed around with.
It is very frustrating the inconsistency with which the game actually finds a game. What I would say is that if searching for Galactic Assault do not use the button on the first menu page to do it, go through the multiplayer options and do it that way as the button on the home screen will tend not to work. I usually find if it's going to connect it will do it quickly so don't sit around for ages waiting, if in 30 seconds you're not connected/connecting cancel search and retry. Then when and if you finally get a game good luck not getting p*ssed off with it.
I still don't understand what are they waiting for releasing a damn SERVER BROWSER.... at this point its the best thing to do for solving the 95% of the connection ping sites and empty lobbies // un balanced games... is a MUST
