You are not alone. Search this forum and you will see multiple posts on getting EA app to work.
I've personally had success uninstalling all related launchers (including Origin) and reinstalling only EA app.
You may need to run "App Recovery" (under EA folder in Windows Start menu).
If none of that works, I suggest you attach a DXDIAG report, as someone may spot something.
